About me

Ethos

You might search for me online. You won’t find much because I don’t use social media. Fine if those things are important to you, they’re just not important to me.

That’s part of Cognitive Hypnotherapy, finding out what’s important to you and making the decision to choose the things that make you feel good and move you forward, leaving out the things that don’t.

The things that are important to me are gratitude, honesty, humour, forgiveness and hope and they feature in every session because I combine them with my life experience, skills and knowledge to stay as flexible as possible to meet my clients’ needs.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -
I took the one less travelled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Robert Frost

Background

Having always worked in the creative industries, I found myself after many years in a senior role at a major music company, burnt out and suffering from increasing bouts of stress-related ailments.

I loved my job, including the long days and regular travel, and was in the habit of ‘pushing on through’, ignoring each warning signal and taking for granted how hard my body was working to look after me.

In the end I realised what was happening before I became seriously ill and left corporate life.

Since training as a craniosacral therapist and reflexologist over 10 years ago, I developed a focus on working with post-traumatic stress disorder both in the UK and Bosnia, particularly with military veterans and those affected by the aftermath of war.

My practice as a Cognitive Hypnotherapist is more general and allows me to pull all these strands of life experience together to benefit my clients in the safest, most effective way. I love the flexibility of this therapy and working creatively with clients to unravel past patterns that may be holding them back now.

I see looking at life as at a kaleidoscope; we tend to follow the same old patterns but just one tiny shift can change the whole picture. Let’s make it a better one for you.
